Program Summary:

As a boutique academy we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and holistic education where your child can grow, learn and thrive. Our full day program runs Monday-Thursday, 9:00-2:30 and includes math, language arts, history, science, art, farm to table cooking, Spanish, maker's mart and outdoor adventure.

Cohorts:

We believe there is no one-size-fits-all education. Students are placed in leveled bases cohorts targeting academic abilities and age level appropriateness.

-We are NOT a school, but a resource for families aiming at doing education differently.

-We provide high quality academics and a rich community of learners.

-Our students are taught in small, level based cohorts.

-We cater to each individual student's strengths and challenges.

-Our teachers are experienced and passionate about the classes they teach.

-We foster a safe, fun, and hands-on learning experience for all.

-The essentials of math, writing, history and science are taught in four, three hour morning sessions.

-We offer life skills and other extra-curricular subjects in the afternoon sessions.

-We do not have classes on Friday.

-We are a vendor with some local homeschool charter schools. (Heartland students are restricted to 12 hours/week with us)

Programs

Essentials 1

Our Essentials 1 program on Tuesday/Thursdays from 9:00-12:00 focuses on the fundamentals of language arts and math, two of the most important subjects in a child’s education. Our curriculum is designed to give students a strong foundation in these subjects while fostering creativity, critical thinking skills, executive functioning skills and preparing them for a lifetime of learning.

Essentials 2

Our Essentials 2 program is a unique opportunity for students to develop their understanding of history and science through immersive learning experiences. Our curriculum blends rigorous academic study with hands-on activities, allowing students to explore these subjects in creative and engaging ways. Through this program, we hope to instill a love of learning in all of our students, empowering them to pursue their passions both in and out of the classroom.

Extra-curricular

At Montecito Academy we believe that education goes beyond academic excellence. Our curriculum is designed to teach our students skills for life beyond the classroom. With our exciting outdoor adventures, Spanish lessons with native speakers, and seasonal cooking classes, we aim to provide a well-rounded education that encourages students to explore their passions and learn beyond their comfort zone. We offer these unique programs Monday to Thursday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Private Tutoring

Founded with the mission of providing a superior education, Montecito Academy is committed to helping students achieve their goals. Our private tutoring services are designed to give students the individualized support they need to succeed academically. Our tutors are highly trained and experienced in a variety of subjects, and will work closely with your child to help them understand challenging concepts and build the skills needed to excel in their studies. We believe in working closely with parents to support the unique needs of each child, and ensuring that they have the resources they need to succeed.
